Welcome to the 2017 DJHS Marching Band!

Hello Everyone, and welcome to the 2017 Dublin Jerome High School Marching Band!  If you are receiving this email, you are part of our contact list for next year's band. We are still in the process of adding email addresses to the list, so if you included an email address when you registered, it will also eventually become part of this list. Those who plan to be in the marching band but have not yet registered for band will begin receiving emails once they have registered for band camp.  I have a few items to share. Please read all information completely!

News and Announcements

Information will generally be shared via the E-Bulletin like the one you are reading now.  All E-Bulletins are archived in the News and Information feed on the home page of the band website, www.DublinJeromeBand.org.  If you miss an email or accidentally delete the email, you can access all e-bulletins there.  

The Band Calendar

Our online calendar can be accessed in real-time via the band website, www.DublinJeromeBand.org.  It is in the Google Calendar format, so you also have the option of importing the band calendar to your own personal or family calendar as long as it is compatible with google.  Please check the calendar often for updates to events. 

First Marching Band Rehearsal

Our first rehearsal is next Monday!  Rehearsal will begin at 6:30 PM in the CPA.  If you need to pick up your school mellophone, baritone, or sousaphone please arrive by 6:00.

Don't forget to turn in your medical forms packet.  We will do this in the CPA lobby. Please include a copy of your latest immunization record with tetanus circled.  This requirement is listed on the medical permission forms, but is easily overlooked. Please bring your completed paperwork to our first marching band rehearsal on May 22nd.  Meredith Monroe has volunteered to be on hand to notarize paperwork. If you need the forms, they can all be found on the downloads page of the band website, www.dublinjeromeband.org

Ice Cream Social

At the end of rehearsal at 8:00, all students and parents are invited to an ice cream social on on the back patio of DJHS.  

Summer Absences

Extended family vacations and camps are excused absences in the summer. Otherwise, it is expected that all students are at every band rehearsal. If you will be absent from band for an extended family vacation or camp, please do not send me an email.  Instead simply register you absence at the following link:

Band Registration-The Next Step

Last week, students received all the required Dublin City Schools paperwork for band camp.  This paperwork will also be accessible on the band website/downloads.
